1. Nonwoven geotextile forms a physical isolation layer between the soil and the gravel base, preventing the mutual migration between aggregate and foundation soil, reducing the thickness loss of the base, and avoiding the settlement and deformation of the road surface.

2. It can divert surface moisture, prevent the strength of the foundation soil from decreasing due to the increase of pore pressure, block the upward migration of fine-grained soil, and maintain the hydraulic conductivity of the gravel layer.

3. When laid on a soft foundation, the geotextile can reduce the peak compressive stress on the foundation surface through the tension membrane effect, reduce the deformation of the surface layer, and significantly improve the adaptability of traffic loads.

Nonwoven Geotextile Fabric for Driveway are engineering materials used for lane paving, with the main functions of isolation, reinforcement, drainage and filtration. It prevents the lane base from mixing with the soil below, reduces potholes and deformation of the road surface, extends the service life, disperses vehivle pressure, improves the road surface's load-bearing capacity, and prevents soil particles from clogging the gravel layer, keeping the drainage channel unobstructed.

Application

1. Road

  • Roadbed isolation: Separate the base soil and gravel layer to prevent mud from rising.

  • Asphalt pavement crack resistance: Lay between the old pavement and the new asphalt layer to delay reflective cracks.

2. Water Conservancy

  • Drainage system: Wrap drainage blind pipes to filter sediment.

  • Dyke filter layer: Control the direction of seepage to prevent pipe burst damage.

  • Riprap slope protection bottom layer: Resist wave scour.

3. Environmental Protection

  • Landfill engineering: Used for lining protective layer, anti-piercing of sharp objects, covered with HDPE anti-seepage membrane.

  • Tails pond bottom lining: With bentonite pad, it can block the migration of heavy metal ions and control pollution.

4. Construction

  • Soft foundation reinforcement: Used for foundation reinforcement to improve bearing capacity.

  • Basement waterproof layer isolation: Resist backfill soil and stone damage.

Why Nonwovens?

Laying Process

1. Pretreatment

Site Cleaning: Remove objects on the surface. Excavate to designed height (usually 150-200mm lower than the road).

Level and Compact Foundation: Use a vibrating roller to compact in layers, with each layer thickness ≤150mm.

2. Geotextile Laying

Lay along the longitudinal direction of the lane, keep it naturally loose, and do not pull it hard. The conventianal overlap width is ≥300mm, and the overlap width in the slope area is ≥500mm.

3. Protective Layer Construction

Lay gravel cover within 24 hours and compact in layers.

4. Surface Layer Construction

Directly lay surface materials such as asphalt or concrete.
